How to advertise Shermann on ebay, erbay or theirbay ........... - (June 17th) .
Some old (but genuine) Shermann Commando boxes have appeared for sale and this time the seller's technical description is spot-on; no crap, no bull, just the facts ........ and I do like the phrase 'stunning performance'.
Future sellers intending to use the same facility please take note.

As I suspected, the Smartsound wedges advertised on ebay today had no connection with Shermann and I note the advert has since been withdrawn.
Actually to their credit, the company involved was very cooperative and removed the ad' without any fuss even if I was addressed as "fella" in their follow-up email (whatever).

Update on the last item ........... - (June 1st - #2)
Potential customer called earlier to ask about these wedges and has sinced called back after asking the seller a question.
With no reply from the seller he's just ordered a pair of genuine ShermannAudio wedges direct therefore; using the Shermann name to sell stuff whether genuine or not has its uses - nice one!

Yet another Ebay seller strikes again claiming that a pair wedges he's flogging-off are SHERMANN Audio / Smartsound boxes.
Now I know the folk at Smartsound wouldn't make any incorrect claims to a product's pedigree so somewhere along the line it would appear some bum info's crept in to the system.
I'm 99.99% certain these boxes are not Shermann however, if I'm wrong I'll admit it - on this page.
I wonder if the seller will do the same on his ad if I'm right?

More foolish internet sales site stuff creating the question - When is a Shermann System not a Shermann System?
The answer is; when it's a pile of audio kit from a bundle of manufacturers with a couple or more Shermann boxes thrown in for good measure!
Advertising a heap of gear some of which is definitely not built to Shermann's high standards as "A Shermann Audio System" may be seen by your local Trading Standards office as misrepresentation.
That's how I see it too!

The offer of half price entry tickets for September's Plasa show arrived this morning.
A bit confused about the name as last year's event was reportedly renamed the Predictable Line Array Show.
That being so what on earth does the redundant A stand for?

High praise for the R2M - (Mar 12th)
The small R2M boxes worked very well and we would like to buy some. Very smooth box that punches well above its size and weight.
One per side placed just inside of the subs seemed to be the best option for covering the middle.
Hard to tell the sound was coming from the fill that way.

Shermann GX208 - spec' change - (Mar 11th)
Will all owners of archive data sheets please amend the weight of this old model to 905 kgs (..... and don't tell the H&SE).
I'm sure this is true as I've been told that all info' issued by Ebay sellers is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth!

More informed stuff from an internet seller - a pure gem relating to the Shermann GX-208 cabs for sale (see above) - and I quote.
"Black carpet is ideal for portable use but not for painting!"
Oddly enough I agree - painting carpet is a really nasty task.

Everyone looking at your Ebay add featuring the s/h Cub400 boxes will know that this box has a 0.75" HF driver not a 1" as stated.
